onlineRegistrationAvailable = true, but Register Now button missing

    I am finding several events in the search where the onlineRegistrationAvailable value is true, (in the XML feed), but when I go to Active's listing, there is no Register Now button.

    An example:
    Hoboken Pump and Run
    8/21/2010
    Hoboken, NJ

    Is online registration available or not?

    I can see how this would be misleading. "onlineRegistrationAvailable" simply means that Active.com does online registration for that event. However, if registration is closed, you will either see a "RegistrationClosed" button, or a message saying "check event organizer's website for details".

    Regarding your particular example, event id 1875745, you can see that registration is no longer available by clicking into the registration path for that event, http://www.active.com/register/index.cfm?event_id=1875745.

    I understand that registration may be closed, in that case, I see the Registration Closed button.

    However, when I see neither the Register Now button, nor Registration Closed, and only see a link to the race organizer's website, then it appears that Active registration was never available for this event. But the onlineRegistrationAvailable value is still marked as true. Generally, that value is False when online registration is offered by someone other than active. Is that not correct?

    Good point. I looped back with our Directory research team, and it turns out that this is a bug. Online registration is turned off for these events. We're looking to fix this issue within a few weeks.
