Hi - My blog only allows, without custom programming, xml feeds to be *.xml. Although your result sile is properly formatted xml, it is not in RSS ready format - needs to be *.xml.
Any ideas?
I am using drupal. Many thanks

Are you talking about the XML output for developer.active.com, or the XML output for one of the APIs?

From the api. If I try this url in the feed aggregator in drupal:
Despite being well formed xml, it is not RSS compliant. I guess that is what I would like to see as a render option - RSS. Yahoo pipes offers this and I might try to run it through there but it would be nice to have it as an option here. Thanks.

That makes sense. The XML structure for this API is proprietary (not RSS). You'll have to run it through Pipes for now. We're working on another API that will give you view options as you've suggested.

Can you tell me when you will allow us to get this (http://api.amp.active.com/assets/running?zip=60544&distance=25&api_key=9h9kunucdnzmmct9xuseqftw) in RSS format?

Unfortunately the RSS format is not supported by the Asset Syndication API. We're getting ready to release an enhanced Search API which does what the Asset Syndication API does plus more, and it includes JSON, RSS, XML and HTML output formats.
In the meantime, I suggest running the Asset Syndication API through Yahoo! Pipes to get RSS output. "webguy2" (http://developer.active.com/member/profile/80340) figured out how to do this and put his findings at http://developer.active.com/forum/read/53741#comment-54680.
