Determining event type

   What is the recommended way of determining the type of an event (e.g. 5K vs marathon vs business conference)? Looking at the Activity Details API, I see an <eventType> value, but I'm not sure what the different values for that mean.

   Below are the values for event type ids. These are for internal purposes, so some of these will not be relevant to you (e.g. #1 & #3 etc)

   event_type_id type

   • 1 Recware Activities
   • 2 Membership (Club or Association)
   • 6 League
   • 8 Camp
   • 3 External Product
   • 9 Tournament
   • 10 Training Program
   • 11 Class, Lesson
   • 12 Clinic
   • 13 Conference, Seminar, Symposium, Workshop
   • 14 Reunion
   • 7 Event, Race

   Thanks for the info. As far as Events/Races go, is there a way to distinguish different types of events or races, say 5K vs marathon vs triathlon?

   It would be best to use the keyword parameter (e.g. k=5k) to breakdown the events by type.
