trouble with tantracking links that contain "/" character

    when an active registration link contains a "/" (slash) character, the converted tantracking link does not work.

    Here is an example: http://www.active.com/running/altoona-wi/spring-fever-2/6-mile-run/walk-2012

    The tantracking conversion results in this (which does not work): http://www.tantracking.com/click.track?CID=141770&AFID=156210&1=running&2=altoona-wi&3=spring-fever-2&cmp=10-2

    We are seeing the same thing with some races. Here is one example I saw today:

    Race Title: Sweetheart Run 5k/10k Run/Walk | Gulf Shores, Alabama Gives us the tantracking link that doesn't work: http://www.tantracking.com/click.track?CID=141770&AFID=179715&1=running&2=gulf-shores-al&3=sweetheart-run-5k&4=10k-run&5=walk-2012&cmp=10-2

    Maybe it has something to do with the "/w" in the race title? We need working links for all races listed on the site. Please help Active.

    yes, I have found it happens where there is a / in the title of the race. But not all the time.

    Hello Dustin and Mary,

    Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. We are aware that not all events that are available for registration on active.com are available via the Search API. The Search API has an separate affiliate endpoint which houses all trackable registrations via the online affiliate program. We are continually working to add more and more registrations to the affiliate endpoint and thus expand the breadth of the Search API campaign. As we add larger chunks of different markets we will notify all affiliate about the increase in listings.

    Jessica, thank you for responding to the other issue we are seeing. That is disappointing. So there is no way to create an affiliate link for some races listed on Active.com?

    And back to this issue, I have another issue. This is the third example of a race with "run/walk" in it's title. It doesn't seem to mess up when it is something like 5/10k (those links work).

    To Active: There is a clear problem with races that have the words "run/walk" in the race title (sometimes). Most events with "run/walk" in the title that I look at in the Search API results has a dead link. I will give you a handful of more examples. Please fix this.

    That being said, the links that we find that don't work, do seem to have run/walk in them. Please help resolve this issue too. Thank you.

    Hi Dustin,

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We've identified an issue where when event names contain a "/" our affiliate tracking links break and we are unable to redirect the user to the active.com event details page. We are working on a fix and plan to have it released shortly.
